I have not upgraded from 3.x to 8 yet, but IM sure I could, of course with PTC support

helping, just to make sure I follow the preferred PTC methods. They also have very good

documentation for most any of their installs/upgrades.

 

I would either request support from PTC &/or Oracle for the Oracle patch.

 

But I don't think the upgrade will take that long. I have done upgrades within a weekend.

That was of course after 1-2 weeks of researching & checking with PTC support on proper

upgrade methods. Now, going from 3.x to 8, it could possibly take extra time to research

& obtain the proper PTC upgrade docs, but I cant see more than a month, unless their

environment is very poorly configured. Then I would not even care to work at their location.

 

After thinking about it, as I said previously, I prefer to search for Windchill work right now.

 

Even if I went up there for $70-80/hr, it would probably be too short termed to cover my

travel there.

 

If I go too long without work in Windchill & this position is still open (not likely), maybe

we can connect up on it. Sorry for dragging this along & then not wanting submit, but

I really desire to work on the Windchill side.

I will work much cheaper in the Windchill area, because all the Windchill experience

just adds time on Windchill.
